Professor Christodoulos Floudas was recognized Tuesday, Feb. 17, by Governor Greg Abbott at the 2015 State of the State Address in Austin, Texas, before a joint session of the Texas House and Senate. Floudas was welcomed to the event by Abbott and introduced for his leadership of the Texas A&M Energy Institute. Floudas is the Erle Nye ’59 Chair Professor for Engineering Excellence in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He is the director of the Texas A&M Energy Institute and a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
