Internships in Energy

The Texas A&M Energy Institute is pleased to announce the 2017 Student Research Internship Program, an exceptional opportunity for undergraduate students to conduct hands-on energy research under the supervision of one or more of the Texas A&M Energy Institute’s faculty affiliates.

Research results during this program could contribute to a journal publication or possibly be presented at a local or national conference.

Texas A&M Energy Institute Initiates Student Research Internship Program

Eligibility

All junior-level Texas A&M University students (i.e., students who will be seniors in Fall 2017) are eligible to apply for this full-time paid internship to conduct energy-related research.

Duration

The internships will be two months long during Summer 2017 (June 5 through July 28).

Application Requirements: The application packet should be a single PDF file and include the following:

  1. A description of the applicant’s energy research interest.
    (1 paragraph, approximately 100 words)
  2. A list of the applicant’s top three choices from among the
    Texas A&M Energy Institute faculty affiliates to supervise the research.
    (Faculty affiliate profiles are available on the Energy Institute website at:
    energy.tamu.edu/find-faculty-experts)
  3. Applicant’s curriculum vitae/resumé.
    (Up to two pages)
  4. Transcript providing evidence of applicant’s cumulative GPA.
    (Howdy “unofficial” transcripts are preferred)
  5. Applicant’s expected graduation date and career plans.
    (Up to 100 words)
