Solar energy conversion and lighting technologies; Wind energy conversion technologies; Smart grid conversion and distribution technologies; Technologies for energy storage: batteries; Modeling, simulation and optimization of energy systems
Research Summary
We are using machine and deep learning tools for forecasting and clustering households’ energy consumption for better energy management. In addition, we are exploring the viability and economics of using battery storage devices as a means of providing power to the microgrids through optimized charging and discharging of batteries. Furthermore, we are developing wind power generators technologies that will generate electric power at both low and high wind speeds.
