Spyridon Tsolas, a chemical engineering Ph.D. student, won a best poster award at the 2019 Foundations of Computer-Aided Process Design (FOCAPD) conference. Tsolas is a third-year student in the Hasan research group, led by Dr. M.M. Faruque Hasan, a Texas A&M Energy Institute faculty affiliate, an assistant professor, and a Kim Tompkins McDivitt ’88 and Phillip McDivitt ’87 Faculty Fellow.

Tsolas’ poster, “Systematic Design, Analysis and Optimization of Water-Energy Nexus,” was selected as one of the best from more than 100 posters that were presented at the conference.

The Foundations of Computer Aided Process Design Conference is the premier international conference focusing exclusively on the fundamentals and applications of computer-aided design for the process industries.
