On November 15-17, 2023, the Texas Energy Summit, hosted by the Energy Systems Laboratory (ESL), will be held at the State of Texas Capitol Building. The ESL is a division of the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES), a member of the Texas A&M University System.
The focus of the summit is the intersection of air quality and energy systems, all energy systems: the grid, transportation, oil and gas, and industrial. The summit sessions are designed to lead to actionable next steps to improve air quality in Texas. Summit participants hear from and work with experts in the technologies, policies, and programs that accelerate emissions reductions, and collaborate to accelerate needed changes to clean the air.
Keynote talks, plenary panels, and breakout sessions will occur on the first two days with workshops on the final day. Plenary panels and breakout sessions are around one hour with 30 minutes each for presentations and discussion/Q&A. Workshops can go much deeper lasting 2-3 hours and usually with smaller groups.
