Energy Institute Seed Grants

The Texas A&M Energy Institute issues an annual call for research proposals on energy topics called the Energy Institute Seed Grants program. An internal competitive proposal call, it is open to the faculty affiliates of the Texas A&M Energy Institute and collaborators. The primary objectives are:

  • Encouraging innovative interdisciplinary energy research collaborations.
  • Supporting groups of researchers working on important energy-related topics.

The awarded funds through this proposal call are to be used for the preparation of competitive group proposals to be submitted to government agencies within 6-12 months of the award. The group proposals are submitted through the Texas A&M Energy Institute, and if funded by the government agencies, some matching funds are provided by the Texas A&M Energy Institute.
