Research Workshop: Fossil-based Technologies for Energy
The Texas A&M Energy Institute will organize a half day research workshop that will take place at the Memorial Student Center, MSC, Bethancourt Ballrooms A&B, on Friday, June 12, 2015 (12:00 noon – 5:00pm). Its focus will be on “Fossil-based Technologies for Energy” and will include fossil resources such as petroleum, natural gas, shale gas, and coal. Research topics covering interactions with (a) materials, catalysis, and separations; (b) multi-scale methods for analysis, simulation, and optimization; and (c) policy, economics, law, and security will also be addressed.
The format of the research workshop consists of a plenary presentation by Dr. Joseph B. Powell (Chief Scientist, Shell International Exploration and Production), a poster session, and a panel discussion.
Awards will be given to the top two posters.
All affiliated faculty members of the Texas A&M Energy Institute are invited to participate and prepare a poster with their research groups. Graduate students and postdoctoral associates are also welcome to attend and participate in the research workshop.
