The Texas A&M Energy Institute will host a half-day research workshop at the Memorial Student Center on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Overview
The focus will be “Non-Fossil-based Technologies for Energy” and will include non-fossil resources such as biomass, solar, wind, geothermal, hydropower, and nuclear and electric power. These research topics will include interactions with:
- materials, catalysis, and separations;
- multi-scale methods for analysis, simulation, and optimization; and
- policy, economics, law, and security.
Graduate students and postdoctoral associates are also welcome to attend and participate in the research workshop.

Poster Contest
All affiliated faculty members of the Texas A&M Energy Institute are invited to participate and prepare a poster with their research groups. Registration for the poster contest is required and should be completed by October 15, 2015.
Schedule
The format of the research workshop will consist of a plenary presentation followed by a poster session and a panel discussion. Awards will be given to the top three posters.
