Special Seminar: Pedro Castro

The Texas A&M Energy Institute will host a special seminar featuring Dr. Pedro Castro, an Associate Professor of chemical engineering at the University of Lisbon, on Thursday, April 18, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CDT (UTC -5:00) in the Frederick E. Giesecke Engineering Research Building (GERB) Third Floor Conference Room and on Zoom. The topic will be “Global Optimization of Quadratically Constrained Problems (QCPS) with Mixed-Integer Programming Relaxations.”

Special Seminar: Dr. Mariano Martín

The TEES Gas and Fuels Research Center and the Texas A&M Energy Institute will host a special joint seminar on energy featuring Dr. Mariano Martín, an Associate Professor of chemical engineering at the University of Salamanca and leader of the Sustainable processes and products lab, will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CDT (UTC -5:00) in the Frederick E. Giesecke Engineering Research Building (GERB) Third Floor Conference Room. The topic will be “Multiscale Analysis for a Social Energy Transition: Waste and Power to X to Power Process Design and Deployment.”

Energy Institute Lecture Series: Dr. Jill Engel-Cox

Conference for Advanced Reactor Deployment (CARD 2023)

February 22 - 23, 2023

ASME and Texas A&M University are hosting the CARD 2023 Conference for Advanced Reactor Deployment in College Station, Texas, on February 22-23, 2023 at the Annenberg Presidential Conference Center. The conference is related to small modular reactor (SMR) and micro reactor nuclear technology, and covers digital twins, reactor technologies, advanced reactor research, etc. There will be participants from industry, national labs, DOE, and various vendors.
