Texas A&M Energy Institute and Agricultural University of Athens Partner for METAVASIS Project with US Embassy in Athens

The Texas A&M Energy Institute and the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) are teaming up with the US Embassy in Athens, the Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC), and the Center for Houston’s Future to understand the economic, social, and environmental impacts of a rapid energy transition on vulnerable communities and marginalized regions in Greece and Texas.

Elbashir Elected AIChE Fellow

Nimir O. Elbashir, the director of the TEES Gas and Fuels Research Center, a professor of petroleum engineering and chemical engineering at Texas A&M University at Qatar, and the chair of the ORYX Gas-to-Liquid Excellence Program, has been elected as a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE).

Pistikopoulos Receives Distinguished Service Award

Professor Stratos Pistikopoulos, a University Distinguished Professor, the Dow Chemical Chair, a Professor of Chemical Engineering, and the Director of the Texas A&M Energy Institute, has been named the recipient of the 2023 AIChE CAST Division Distinguished Service Award.
