The Texas A&M Energy Institute, a joint institute between Texas A&M University and the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, has recently established an Interdisciplinary Academic Council, composed of prominent faculty members from six different colleges and schools at Texas A&M University.
This council will serve as an advisory body to the director of the Energy Institute and will represent the diverse energy research and educational expertise present among the faculty members at Texas A&M University and associated with the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station.
Further, the Interdisciplinary Academic Council will help to shape the energy education and research trajectory at Texas A&M; council members will serve as ambassadors of the Energy Institute to their respective home colleges and schools. This new entity is already cultivating deeper engagements among faculty members across campus, enhancing an interdisciplinary ethos and advancing the initiatives of the Energy Institute.
The six colleges and schools represented by the Interdisciplinary Academic Council include:
