Energy Institute Hosts Inaugural Research Workshop on Fossil-based Technologies for Energy

The Texas A&M Energy Institute hosted its inaugural research workshop on Fossil-based Technologies for Energy on June 12, 2015 in the Texas A&M Memorial Student Center.

With a goal of increasing collaboration opportunities in energy research and scholarship, as well as promoting the latest advances in energy technologies, the event featured a networking lunch, followed by a plenary lecture, poster presentations, a panel discussion, and an interactive question and answer session.

More than 75 participants attended, including faculty members, research associates, students, and industry partners.

Floudas Inducted into Academy of Athens

Professor Christodoulos A. Floudas was inducted as a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Athens on May 26, 2015. The Academy of Athens is the most prestigious scientific society in Greece and the world’s oldest academy.

Ten proposals have been selected for funding under the First Proposal Call by the Texas A&M Energy Institute. A total of 41 proposals were submitted from six different colleges across our campus.
