Energy Education of the Future Forum

December 5 - 6, 2021

4:00 am - 9:00 am

Texas A&M University at Qatar, the Texas A&M Energy Institute, and the Qatar National Research Fund will co-host the Energy Education of the Future Forum on December 5-6 in person and online from 4:00 am – 9:00 am CST (GMT -6:00). The Energy Education of the Future Forum is expected to unveil innovative approaches, showcase latest developments, disseminate research findings, and share hard-earned lessons on successful examples making all participants to commit on a long-term basis for the organization of a permanent event for Energy Education in Qatar.

2021 Texas A&M Conference on Energy

The Texas A&M Energy Research Society, in partnership with the Texas A&M Energy Institute, is pleased to present the Fifth Annual Texas A&M Conference on Energy on December 2-3, 2021 at the Rudder Tower on the campus of Texas A&M University.

Distinguished Lecture in Energy: Melanie Kenderdine

On Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST (GMT -6:00) in the Forum at the Rudder Theatre Complex on the campus of Texas A&M University, the Texas A&M Energy Institute will host a Distinguished Lecture in Energy by Melanie Kenderdine, a Principal and Executive Vice President of Energy Futures Initiative. The topic will be “Gigaton Problems, Gigaton Needs: The Urgency of Addressing Climate Change.”

Energy Institute Lecture Series: Dr. Christine Ehlig-Economides

The next presentation in the Texas A&M Energy Institute Lecture Series, featuring Dr. Christine Ehlig-Economides, a Professor and the Hugh Roy and Lillie Cranz Cullen Distinguished University Chair in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Houston, will be held on Wednesday, November 03, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CDT (GMT -5:00) in the Frederick E. Giesecke Engineering Research Building (GERB) Third Floor Conference Room and through a Zoom Meeting. The topic will be “Applying Petroleum Technology to the Energy Transition (ET Apps).”

Norman Borlaug Institute for International Agriculture at Texas A&M University will host Dr. Rabi H. Mohtar on October 7, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. CST as a part of the Norman Borlaug Institute Seminar Series. The title of the presentation will be “Water-Energy-Food-Nutrition/Health Nexus: Food for people or Food for trade: A Dilemma for Drylands.”

The topic will be “Sustaining the Energy Transition: Building Up Through our Communities.”

Walck, the Deputy Laboratory Director for Science and Technology and Chief Research Officer at Idaho National Laboratory, will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. CDT (GMT -5:00) in the Frederick E. Giesecke Engineering Research Building (GERB) Third Floor Conference Room and through a Zoom Meeting. The topic will be “Energy Research at Idaho National Laboratory: Nuclear energy and integrated energy systems for the nation’s low-carbon energy future.”
